How Erado's SecureMail Encryption Works
Email sent is redirected to one of Erado's SecureMail Email Encryption Centers where the body and all attachments are scanned with Erado's deep scan technology for personally identifiable information (PII). If no PII is found the message is delivered as any other normal message.
When PII is found the the message is encrypted via our "Smart Delivery™" solution which automatically utilizes the most secure and easiest to read encryption technology based on the recipient(s) address.
SecureMail can be used with virtually all POP3/IMAP email accounts, MS Exchange accounts, and internet mail servers. When coupled with Erado's Email Archive and Journaling services an unencrypted copy of each message is captured and processed for archiving and supervisory requirements.
