Rules-Based Scoring

Erado's spam protection scans and analyzes each inbound message against blacklists, over 3500 heuristic rules, and reputation analysis algorithms. This deep scanning ensures 99% spam reduction.

Reputation Analysis - Reverse DNS, Sender Policy Frame Work , and Domain Keys

As part of our protection, Erado utilized  reverse dns filtering, sender policy frame work (SPF) and domain keys (DK) in determining the reputation of the message.

Advance White Listing

Erado's white listing enables users to manually and automatically unblock email traffic
mis-identified as spam.

Manual White Listing
Occasionally, emails from a legitimate source are identified as spam and blocked. When that happens, Erado's manual white listing function allows for the quick addition to a permanent "white list" so that future communications from the sender are not interrupted.  This is accomplished through manual entry in our management control center, releasing the message from quarantine, or by simply sending the message to your self from your daily quarantined mail report right from your email client such as Outlook.

Automatic White Listing
Hosted customers and those that have the ability to 'Journal' email can automatically white list each recipient that a message is sent to.  Erado's automatic white list service automatically captures every outbound email address and adds them to a permanent or temporary white list automating the white listing process and reducing costs..

Sender Address Validation
For customers who only want mail from verified (white listed) sender Erado offers 'Sender Address Validation', where the first time an email is received from a sender, the sender is automatically sent a 'validation email' asking them to verify themselves though a secure web portal. If the sender does not verify themselves the message is quarantined where you have the control to release the message and "validate" (white list) the sender.

Anti-Virus

Erado utilizes multiple commercial anti-virus vendors.  These vendors anti-virus definition files are updated every five minutes to assure the highest level of protection.
